Beijing Book Fair to display Iran blockbuster ‘The Salesman’

Iranian film ‘The Salesman’ is to be screened in the festival of Iranian films in China.

Directed by Asghar Farhadi, the Iranian blockbuster is to be displayed on the sidelines of Beijing International Book Fair.

The film tells the story of a young couple named Emad (Shahab Hosseini) and Rana (Taraneh Alidoosti) who move into a new flat in the center of Tehran. But an incident linked to the previous tenant dramatically changes their life.

The movie won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards in the best foreign language film category and also won double awards for best screenplay and best actor at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
